沧州市以单一的石油化工为主导产业的发展格局正在悄然改变。管道装备制造、钢铁、电力能源、机械设备、食品加工、现代物流等六大产业迅速崛起，将沧州建设沿海经济社会发展强市的增长点由一变七，全市的产业结构得到进一步优化。加快优化产业结构，转变经济发展方式，成为实现我市经济可持续发展的迫切需要。基于此，市委、市政府根据沧州实际，积极培育管件装备制造等新兴产业。以盐山、孟村等地为主的管道装备制造业有着雄厚产业基础。从家庭作坊式生产起步，经科学规范引导，不断发展壮大，形成了群体效应。目前全市各类管道装备企业达2600多家，设计加工能力2100万吨，去年实际加工1300万吨，中低压管件产品占到全国市场的80%。管道装备产品实现了由单一的管道、管件向石油天然气输送管道、石油钻采设备、核电电力设施管道、锅炉管道、市政专用管道的转变。产品科技含量和等级不断提升，仅在盐山，全行业就拥有专利121项，有24个产品填补了国内空白。今年上半年，全市管道装备制造业实现增加值52.35亿元，占全市规模以上工业增加值的16%。“石油之城、管道之都”的定位，标志着管道装备制造业异军突起，开始承担起支撑沧州经济发展的重任。通过积极引导和发挥产业优势并借助外力提升竞争力，七大主导产业各显其能，推动全市发展进入了新境界，上半年全市多项经济指标增速居全省第一就是充分证明。
